Verizon has already stated they will not be carrying any Windows Phone 7 (WP7) devices. Now the CEO has openly sneered at Microsoft's updated mobile OS. Lowell McAdam had these comments about WP7:
“Microsoft is not at the forefront of our mind.”
“I can’t really say which phones we’ll offer yet. We like our relationship with Microsoft. But clearly in the U.S. there are three major mobile operating systems: RIM, Google, and Apple,”
In response to a question on if his skepticism has anything to do with the Kin disaster McAdam refused to be answer the directly instead saying "Our device suppliers have to demonstrate to us that they will be developing leading edge products. And if they are not leading edge, then we can’t afford to carry them in our stores. But if they are innovative, we’ll offer them.”
Wow, in essence the Verizon CEO said WP7 is not innovative. Of course if the OS becomes popular I'm sure Lowell will change his mind very quickly. [Geek]
