ANGRY BIRDS FOR ANDROID POSTS ONE MILLION DOWNLOADS IN ONE DAY

Angry Birds, the hugely popular video game first introduced on the iPhone, was released on the Android platform yesterday.  In one day the game racked up downloads of over 1 million just for the Android release.  GetJar, the makers of Angry Birds, was unable to keep up with demand and at times Android users were told: “The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later”. The outages should be fixed now as demand lessens slightly. [BGR]
