Google is always thinking ahead, at least with codenames for its popular Android mobile operating system. Everyone is anxiously awaiting Gingerbread, the next iteration of Android. After Gingerbread is released, Google will be hard at work on Honeycomb, but what comes after that? According to the president of ARM, Tudor Brown, in an interview with Forbes' Elizabeth Woyke, it will be called 'Ice Cream'.
This name is in line with Google's alphabetical naming convention. Ice Cream is an obvious choice, but Google is known for not spending a lot of time on codenames and more time on making the actual product better. [Engadget]
