By the end of 2010 it is estimated that 2 billion people will be accessing the internet, that is 30% of the world's population, according to a report by the International Telecommunications Union. They are also reporting that in "developed" countries 71% of the population is online versus only 21% for "undeveloped" countries. While the difference is beginning to shrink, it is so wide that it will be felt for many years to come. [Engadget]
