TGG reported earlier how dirty mobile devices are, 18 times more germs than a toilet handle. So, just how do you clean them?
Use alcohol or disinfectant sparingly. Things like keyboards, mouse, cases and headphones can be cleaned using a soft cloth and a bit of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Don't use the pre-moistened wipes, they have a tendency to have too much moisture.
Try not to use alcohol on touchscreens. It may eat into protective layer on the device. Apple recommends a product called iKlenz or Monster CleanTouch. These are safe to use on most touchscreens.
Getting a screen protector will help as well. It will protect the touchscreen and let you use common cleaners without affecting the actual screen itself.
Absolutely avoid abrasive cleansers. These will scratch your touchscreen and the surface of any gadget you are trying to clean.
Use common sense. The best way to keep your device clean, germ wise anyway, is to wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water. [Lifehacker]
