GOOGLE MUSIC HAS NO MUSIC

Google Music is still in negotiations with music labels to add them to the launch of Google Music.  Scott Rudin, Google's VP of engineering and the man behind Android, has been in talks with the major music labels to get them onboard.

An un-named label executive stated "Finally here's an entity with the reach, resources and wherewithal to take on iTunes as a formidable competitor by tying it into search and Android mobile platform," and "What you'll have is a very powerful player in the market that's good for the music business."

Like Apple, Google Music will be cloud based, with access to the account from any compatible device.  Google purchased remote media company Simplify Media back in May and promptly closed it.  This could be an indication they will be using the Simplify technology to power Google Music.
