RUMOR: MICROSOFT & ADOBE IN ACQUISITION TALKS

The New York Times is reporting Microsoft and Adobe are in secret talks that concern a possible acquisition.  Both companies have been hurt in the mobile market by Apple, Microsoft with lost market share and Adobe by being kept out of the iOS for flash.  With both companies facing a common "enemy" it is no surprise the CEOs have been meeting secretly to come up with a strategy that is beneficial to them both in the war with Apple.  One of the rumored points being discussed is the acquisition of Adobe by Microsoft.

In the end though, Microsoft is about 3 years behind Apple in the mobile arena and desperately trying to catch up with the release of Windows Phone 7 and Apple could care less about Adobe.  The combination of Microsoft/Adobe would probably not worry Apple in the least (or at least very little) since they see themselves ahead of and above both companies.

TGG believes this to be no more than rumor, what are your thoughts on a possible Microsoft/Adobe merger?[Geek]
