INTERNAL iPOD WATER DAMAGE POLICY AMENDED BY APPLE
Apple has placed Liquid Contact Indicators (LCI) all over the inside of the iPod (and every other Apple device) to detect the possible intrusion of water/liquids. In the past when employees find the LCI in the headphone jack has been activated they inform the customer they device is not covered. Now, the employees are to look for other indications and not rely solely on the LCIs. It is not currently known if this policy change effects other devices or is strictly limited to the iPod. [BGR]
