According to sources over at Download Squad Google is preparing a Chrome OS tablet to compete with the iPad. The tablet will use the Verizon network and is being built by HTC, the makers of a number of Android phones.
The Google tablet will likely come equipped with a NVidia Tegra 2 with a 1280 x 720 multitouch display, 2GB of RAM, a minimum 32GB SSD, WiFi/Bluetooth/3G connectivity, GPS, webcam and expandable storage via a multi-card reader.
The tablet is expected to go on sale November 26th, which is black friday. It is expected to be heavily subsidized and cheaper than the iPad.
