Over at CNET there is an report that Hotmail will get Exchange ActiveSync on Monday. Their report has Dharmesh Mehta, director of product management for Windows Live, as the source.
If you have a desktop client or mobile app that supports ActiveSync you will be able to get push email, contacts and calendar appointments.
