RUMOR: WHITE iPHONE COMING?

A purported screen capture of a Vodafone inventory system has been leaked showing the elusive white iPhone. Verizon Wireless,a joint venture between Verizon and Vodafone, announced the iPhone 4 just last week and it included an image of a white iPhone on its website in the process. While the inclusion of the white iPhone was an accident and the image was subsequently taken down, the very fact that Verizon’s Web team was working with images of the white iPhone was viewed by many as a promising sign.

RUMOR: WHITE iPHONE STILL ON LIFE SUPPORT

At this point, many had assumed that Apple was just going to let the problem-fraught white iPhone 4 slip away into our collective imagination. Apparently not so! 9To5Mac.com has acquired new signs that Apple Stores nationwide received saying that it's still coming spring 2011.

It's not a WHITE IPHONE 4 IS COMING banner or anything like that, but a footnote on a new Apple Store sign says pretty plainly that the unicorn phone will be arriving next year. For now, this dashes the idea that Apple was just going to stop talking about the white iPhone altogether and hope we'd all forget it ever existed. Although that could still definitely happen—spring 2011 is a lot of months away. [Gizmodo]

RUMOR: APPLE CANCELLING WHITE iPHONE4

Hot on the heels of the rumor the long delayed white iPhone 4 would launch in Spring of 2011 comes a rumor that the product has been cancelled.  Sources are remaining quite mum on the whole affair.  Could it be that the white iPhone 4 has been delayed so long Apple has decided to cancel it and make a white iPhone 5? LEAKED: WHITE iPHONE SHOWS UP IN APPLE STORE APP UPDATE

Has Apple finally gotten the color issues resolved with the white iPhone that was promised back in June?  It appears so if the update to the Apple Store app is to be believed.  Version 1.1 of the Apple Store app has the elusive white iPhone listed under the 'Reserve Products' screen.  Users can't actually reserve one yet, but this could be further evidence the much sought after iPhone is finally on its way.
