AMAZON OFFERING FULL REFUNDS FOR KINDLE COVER SNAFU

It seems a number of people have experienced problems with their new Kindle covers, specifically the ones without the reading lights. Once the Kindle has been mounted on the metal hooks and secured to the cover the Kindle may experience lockups and other problems.

VERIZON AGREES TO REFUND $90 MILLION TO CUSTOMERS

Verizon Wireless has agreed to refund customers for charging customers who did not subscribe to or use data.   The settlement calls for Verizon to credit those users with between $2 and $6 on their next bills.  If users are not customers of Verizon Wireless anymore they will receive a check in the mail.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the FCC pressured Verizon into the settlement after getting hundreds of complaints. [Engadget]
