The Daily is reporting that Amazon and 7-Eleven convenience stores have joined together in a trial for a new delivery option for customers. The Amazon customer will be offered the option of having their purchase shipped to a 7-Eleven of their choosing. The customer will then receive an email with a bar code that can be scanned by a machine at the 7-Eleven to reveal a pin number which will access the delivered goods. The Daily further reports some of the convenience stores in Seattle already have the machines and are beginning tests on the concept.
