Microsoft has decided not to continue the fight in the blogging software arena and will be transferring all Windows Live Spaces users over to Wordpress. Automattic, the company that runs and maintains Wordpress, and Microsoft have been working on the transfer so users of Live Spaces take all their data with them when transferring over and have visitors automatically fowarded to the new site.
If Live Spaces users do not wish to be transferred over they have the option to download their data or delete it completely, but have to make a decision quickly since Live Spaces will go dark in six months. [
