YAHOO IM COMING TO iPHONE AND ANDROID WITH 3G CALLING

Yahoo! has announced their popular IM client, Yahoo! Messenger will be coming to the iPhone and Android devices.  Yahoo's VP of Mobile David Katz says the IM client will be cross platform and allow for video chat.  It will reportedly work over both Wi-Fi and 3G connections and freely conduct video calls with any other device running Yahoo! Messenger, including web cam equipped PCs.

The new Yahoo! Messenger has been confirmed for the T-Mobile MyTouch and has been submitted to the iTunes App Store for review.  Yahoo! is launching the product into an already crowded field that includes Qik, Fring and Tango, but it's name recognition should help it to rise to the top of the pack fairly quickly. SKYPE OFFICIAL APP FOR ANDROID LAUNCHES

Skype has released an official app for the Android handsets.  Phones running version 2.1 or 2.2 can now download the app for free Skype-to-Skype calls, IM and more.  Just as with the iPhone version, the Android app will make calls over WiFi or the network, 3G included.  From the press release:

With this latest release, the majority of smart phone users globally will now be able to experience the benefits of Skype on the move using either a WiFi or mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE, 3G)*. LEAKED: WEBOS 2.0 SCREENSHOTS

24 screenshots of the much anticipated WebOS 2.0 have leaked thanks to Chinese website wibozi.com.  From the screenshots we can tell some interesting functionality has been added like multiple IM account types, Cisco VPN support, Dropbox and Google Docs support and remote file storage with QuickOffice to name a few.  Hit the link to see the slideshow. Trillian IM client now in Android beta

Trillian, the awesome multi-IM client, is now available for Android, though it is a beta version.  Trillian has been available on the iPhone for awhile now and has just now become available on Android.

Trillian has photo sharing capabilities, along with the ability to push IMs to your email if Trillian is suspended.

Trillian is a free download for devices running Android 1.6 or higher.  It's not available in the Market so make sure you allow your device to accept non-Market apps.
